For international shipments, customs or the carrier may request shipment documentation before the package can clear customs.
Gemnote can review whether a commercial invoice is available for your shipment.
The commercial invoice may include:
- Shipper information
- Recipient information
- Item descriptions
- Declared value
- Shipment purpose, such as gift, if applicable
If the shipment was sent as a gift, the commercial invoice should already include the gift status when applicable.
Gemnote does not provide a separate gift explanation letter.

Customs rules are set by the destination country and carrier. Gemnote cannot guarantee that customs authorities will accept a specific document or release a shipment by a specific date.
