Gemnote’s international shipping terms depend on the order type.
For international swag store orders, shipments are declared as gifts and shipped DDP, or Delivery Duties Paid. International fees are billed to Gemnote and then billed to the client as incurred.
For international e-commerce or Shopify orders, shipments are shipped DDU, or Delivered Duty Unpaid. This means duties, taxes, VAT, GST, customs fees, brokerage fees, import charges, storage fees, and other destination-country fees are not included in the shipping cost collected by Gemnote.
For DDU shipments, these charges are the responsibility of the recipient or client.
If customs or the carrier requests payment or documentation, the recipient or client must complete the request to help avoid delays, return to sender, abandonment, or disposal.
